“Cóir hit the ground running. The monkeys worked.”

Ciarán Cuffe, Green Party TD, on why the Lisbon Treaty was lost

CÓIR is a nationwide movement of Irish people who stand for:
JUSTICE:

for all Irish people, especially the preborn, the elderly and the vulnerable

SOVEREIGNTY:

the right of the Irish people to make our own laws

INTEGRITY:

a commitment to honesty and ethics in public life

In the campaign against the Lisbon Treaty, a new grassroots organisation spoke to the people and for the people. Cóir brought a fresh unity to the silent majority whose concerns about life, family, faith and freedom were being ignored by the political elite in Ireland and in Brussels.

Cóir works to protect Irish sovereignty and the Constitutional rights of Irish people. We believe that the Lisbon Treaty is a step too far in the development of an EU Federal Super-State. Cóir's campaigns are organized and carried out by volunteers. If you’d like to help, we'd love to have you on board!
