Cóir have urged the electorate to make their voices heard in tomorrow's referendum by coming out to vote in massive numbers. "We're calling on the people to exercise their constitutional rights by coming out to give an emphatic No to the Lisbon Treaty," said spokesman Richard Greene.

"The big issues in this campaign have been wages, jobs and loss of power," said Mr Greene. "We're calling on the people who are already suffering the lash of cuts and additional taxes to stand up for their rights by making sure they cast their votes on Friday."

The Cóir spokesman said that the campaign would continue right up to close of polling on Friday, with canvassing and mobile speakers urging voters to cast their vote. "After 9.30 on Friday our vote monitoring operation will swing into force," said Mr Greene. "And then we're looking forward to burying this bad treaty."
